I never heard of Restaurant City until recently when a colleague of mine introduced them to me. Initially I thought they were nothing but a bunch of time waster. As I dwell deeper into the game, I found underlying strategy that many first timer would ignore.

For example, table placement together and limiting your waiter’s movement can increase your service productivity. Another thing you would think that small things like a video game arcade would actually increase the waiting time of your customer while your staff would fill out the rush hour order.

The developer also spend time to make sure you have a sense of community in the game, therefore, certain ingredient that is used to increase your popularity, has to be traded with your friends.

The game’s friendly kid graphics is nothing to be sneered at. Handling your employee making them either a cleaner, waiter or a cook require a lot more thinking of how you want to develop your restaurant.

Clearly this is one of my favorite web game for the moment because of its simplicity graphics and depth of game play at the same time.

Requirement: a Facebook account

Remember how I ranted so much since I was previously in Technical Support? Yes, the reason for that is because I was swarmed with work because there are too many things to do. Most people shove their responsibility to your throat because they are unable to do it by their own. Some do not have the courage finds it necessary to bother you with every little bit of question.

By far the worst ones are the one treating you like a god damn Messiah.

So how have the new job been handling? Fairly well, I supposed. The job keep coming in but somehow I can manage and everything is within my expertise. Although it has the lackluster and little grandeur to it but I supposed it couldn’t be helped.

I don’t mind the work, just that I really hate people’s attitude in working. Here, they only come to you when they are really stumped and they have tried their best and always willing to learn. That’s how every work place supposed to be.

In Tech Support, everything seems to dull you because the people always not willing to put the extra mile to their work. Or because they are just too scared to make their own decision. Or perhaps other reasons that I can’t figure out.

Some people just don’t know when to let go. I’m still receiving email on the case that I followed millennia ago concerning a system that is already out of warranty. The solution is simple: if the customer wants us to repair, pay to upgrade your warranty service. Don’t expect us to be a charity. Would it be my fault if I have provided a solution to the customer but he didn’t like it?

Screw the customer. And for the matter of fact, screw the fella for persisting to get me to do his bidding.

Right now after visiting my old team, I can see this disease infecting most of the old guys. Most of them were good but sometimes it was the work of the previous manager that did his job so well that they felt the after being screwed over, even when the manager has already left the team.

I’m sad to say that my nine years in tech support wasn’t a pleasant one. They are full of petty, deceitful and lazy people who want to take advantage of climbing the corporate ladder. Those who really put their efforts are largely ignored because they didn’t mingle well with the management group.

It’s just sad to see what has happened to the department.

Some people are somehow not email-literate. You know it the moment you see people start asking you to repeat something you have done before. As much as I hate to repeat myself, somehow some people are just too idiotic to even bother reading their mail and understanding the content.

1. Customer’s software went super nova. He wanted us to take responsibility or else he will sue us.

2. A quick look revealed that one of our software has to be registered the moment he received the system. Apparently he didn’t and the software subscription ended after 30 days. Somehow this customer always has this mindset that software will work automatically because they didn’t even bother to check on the software’s status.

3. Customer’s stupidity aside, the sales are in panic because the customer wants to take this to legal.

4. I told sales that we have already done what we had to. If customer wanted the professional service, he should have gotten our premium support, or even maybe getting his IT to give us a call. Above all, I gave them a solution: contact the software manufacturer about their problem and they will provide the solution. The reason why they should go to the software manufacturer directly is that they will get their CD-Key to authenticate them as the customer and will then proceed to render their support.

5. Somehow there was no communication between the sales, the customer and this stupid manager who constantly asking me to call the sales to explain the situation.

6. Sales obviously read my mail but couldn’t understand what it does, went back to this manager asking him to provide a support to the customer.

7. In the end the manager kept asking me to get back to the sales.

8. Finally, I wrote in the mail: “Read my instruction first before doing anything else. It explains who the customer should call to get the relevant support.”

9. Back to step 5.

It’s one of those days again where I found myself to be extremely busy, not because it’s my work but because it is customary for people to ask me to perform miracle for them.

After it seems like 3rd or 4th replacement of motherboard, these people would actually though the motherboard is the same problem causing this particular issue where they can actually use their brain to figure out what could be the cause of the issue. But no, somehow deep inside the recess of their mind, they find the need to actually consult me, believe me to consult the depth of mystical world of the universe to conjure an answer to them.

Or better yet, they are just too lazy to think for themselves and always expected me to provide an answer, even to the point of teaching them how to fuck.

You know what… fuck them all.

You would have thought that after their first failure with Jean-Claude Van Damme, they would have stopped making Street Fighter movies. However, I’m not sure which dim-witted producer would think that it’s a good idea to revive the movie. However, I’m not sure which dim-witted producer would think that it’s a good idea to revive the movie. The plot somehow is mediocre but as you would expected, this wasn’t a very good movie.

Chun Li’s father was kidnapped by Bison when she (Kristin Kreuk) was small and when she was old enough, she was given a scroll to find Gen. As the story turns out, she found Gen (Robin Shou) and they went on training so that she can defeat Bison and rescue her father. Half-way through, she got caught and her father was killed in front of her. She swore revenge, kicked a lot of ass and it’s the end of the movie.

A couple of things why I said this wasn’t a good movie:

1. It is funny that Chun Li grew up in Hong Kong and couldn’t speak Mandarin or Cantonese fluently.

2. Bison transferred his ‘guilt’ into his daughter? This got to be the lamest part of the story.

3. Vega died after 5 minutes has got to be the worst anti-climax in the film industry.

4. If you want to put Chun Li through a fight with Cantana (Josie Ho), make sure she’s properly trained. Chun Li’s bar fight seems to be laughable because you see a warrior with ’skills’ like her actually defeat Cantana and the rest of the baddies.

“You cincai throw, I cincai give”

That’s my motto these days. After encountering incompetent people pushing their work to me, I have to abide by these codes to protect myself. Some people can be so obnoxious of working that they don’t want to fill their job scope responsibility.

Team managers are supposed to take care of the agents and they are the ones supposed to handle customer satisfaction. So when customer called about something for a replacement, it is their job to find out what is it.

Unfortunately over here, they slacked their job and instead asked me to call.

You know those types who cannot speak good English and was miraculously promoted on being a manager.

So you see my predicament here when some low-life schmuck wanted me to call the customer over an issue that wasn’t even technical. The customer wants to return the unit because it wasn’t the notebook for him. I looked at the case and wondered: “Where the fuck is the technical problem?”

Fine, you get me to do something that I didn’t sign on to; I’ll do the same to you.

I called the customer and promised them that they will get their replacement unit. Back to the fucking lazy manager, I mailed him the customer wouldn’t want to accept anything less than a replacement unit. Let him sort out the problem by himself.

If you can do your job, do it. Don’t ask another person to fill in your job. You don’t only look stupid but it gives people a low opinion on you.

The Punisher is a great story. It embodies everything there is like Batman but unlike using the bat as an icon, he uses revenge, fear and intimidation as a story line plot. The hero isn’t a hero at all but a tough-no-nonsense vigilante anti-hero that kick baddies butt till kingdom come. So when the last Punisher (by Thomas Jane with John Travolta) came out, the movie was great because you simply cannot find any flaw with the plot.

So came this movie which is essentially grittier and darker with the last plus it mixes the Punisher and Jigsaw, you’d think that this could make a very good movie. Well not quite.

Plots are predictable and you’ll guess who would win in the end.

I won’t go much into the story because this is pretty predictable but I’ll tell you that it’s watchable. You expect this to be a super production, just take the story in knowing that the hero will live in the end, saving innocents and in the process killed one of the good guys. Two good guys to be exact.

However, what really surprised me that Ray Stevenson is able to carry out the character as convincing as Thomas Jane. Of course he has physical advantage he managed the looks and the grittiness as well. It’s interesting to go watch how everything has come into play, ranging from the bad guy & his psychopath brother, to the innocent wife and child of the guy the Punisher accidentally killed. The director has woven the story in a way that you have no trouble understanding the plot and with it, some interesting twist as all these characters come into play.

So is it worth watching? Yes, but not to the extent that will wow you. Just enough to keep you interested and enough for you to clamor about it after you left the cinema.
