Movie Review: Made of Honor
Patrick Dempsey always reminded me of Sean Penn. However, the movie is not about him, it’s more about Tom Bailey (Dempsey) obsession to Hannah (Michelle Monaghan). Seriously, I watch most of the chick flicks but what makes me want to watch this show more is because Michelle Monaghan is in it and I hate to miss any of her show.
Some of the girls I went commented how they love Patrick’s body. Oh please, I think I can do better with any home gyms.

Tom met Hannah in their college years and became best friends ever since. He invented a coffee collar and became rich in the process. Having great friends, getting new girl every week and having one best friend in your life is more than what a guy could ask for. Hannah has some feelings on him but he always took it for granted.
One day Hannah went to Scotland for an acquisition trip which would take 6 weeks. During that time, he realized how empty his life was without her and he will tell her how much he loved her once she’s back. On that very same day that she’s back, she introduced him to her fiancé, Colin. Knowing that he was always there for her, she asked him to become her maid of honor. He hesitated but realized later that he could make her fall in love with him if he’s closer to her.
Accepting the post means he is branded gay but he don’t seem to mind because all he wants is to get Hannah back. He learned that Colin was in fact a royal family and is actually a duke.
He impressed her and even accompanied her to her wedding preparation in Scotland. Preparation turns sour when the bridesmaids took Hannah on a tradition where the bride-to-be has to kiss everyone in the pub. When it came to Tom’s turn, they shared a passionate kiss and each other were stunned. That night, a bridesmaid came to seduce Tom. Hannah came up to the room to confront about their feelings but saw what they were doing quickly fled his room.
He went running to her door and told her not to marry the man that she doesn’t know.
He left the next day because the feeling is just too strong. During the way he encountered the sheep dog and realized he needs to win her back no matter what. He went and even offered one guy some percentage over the coffee collar that he’s been receiving to get a horse in order to chase them to the church. He finally reached the church and confronts Hannah. Deciding that she wants to be with him for the rest of her life, she broke up with Colin and he punched Tom in the face for stealing his bride. Finally, they got married and they lived happily ever after.
If you enjoyed one line jokes, this movie has loads of them and it is always entertaining to watch two people connect with each other despite of all challenges in the world. This is truly a masterpiece of chick flick of its own.
