My stupid company banned my website under the category “Malicious Website”. What a stupid category. When they have nothing to do and wanted to justify that their existence is critical, stupid things like this started to pop up. As if they wanted to do promotional products or services saying that: “Oh, IT is important for everyone in the company.”

Bullshit.

There are only few key people to keep the support running:

1. Technician - this made up the bulk of the IT team and these people should be the one doing your installation and t/shooting your problem.
2. Manager overseeing the technicians.

You want to know what happened to our IT team?

1. Windows NT support - 3 managers
2. Ethernet infrastructure - 10 managers
3. Application support - 20 managers
4. Support program management - 15 managers
5. Technicians - 5 people

This is totally stupid unproductive group that I’ve ever seen. If you need to promote someone, throw them off the department and let them manage other people while keeping your group small. Too many cook will simply spoil the food!
